I've been watching... Peter Jackson's Beatles documentary, come back. What a revelation! As far as the old question is concerned, "The Beatles or the Stones?", I used to lean towards The Stones, but watching Get Back made me realize how much I love the Beatles, and their music and personality. How deeply ingrained in my life. I remember watching the original Michael Lindsay-Hogg movie (at The Trak cinema?), yes, it was a bit gloomy, and apart from the rooftop performance, the Beatles seemed to be falling apart and on the verge of splitting. Get Back does show tension, boredom, and irritability, but it also passionately shows fun, love, trust, and joking... We actually see the songs created by the band become part of the history of rock music. The joy on the roof is exhilarating. I don't want to end. I also like the latest series of "Contain Your Enthusiasm", and my whole family likes "Only Murder".

I'm currently reading... Ann Patchett's latest book "These Precious Days". I read her last novel "Holland House" and I liked her work very much. I read three books in a row... "The Commonwealth", "The Country of Miracles" and "Bel canto." These precious days are a collection of non-fiction essays to gain insights into the life of this contemporary writer who co-owns a bookstore in Nashville. But my favorite book this year must be Jonathan Franzen's latest book "Crossroads", which is a rich and huge family legend that took place in Illinois in 1971, revolving around suburban churches and Its youth group Crossroads is launched. I recently wrote an email to Franzen, thanking him for his inspirational readings, and inviting him to be a guest of songs and stories. I know he admires Courtney Barnett, so make sure he receives a link to Courtney's performance on RocKwiz. Imagine my joy when he wrote back. He said: "Your show is too interesting to resist...Let us arrange it." If technology permits, Mr. Franzen will talk about three songs next Saturday, December 18th. Favorite song. Very excited!

I've been cooking... in the morning I cook porridge (oatmeal and granola, add raisins and frozen raspberries on the stove in the last few minutes, then sprinkle with a handful of bran, a pinch of sugar, diced fruit and soy milk) There are dahl, bologna sauce and chili sauce on weekends. I am trying to increase and diversify my limited repertoire, and I learned that if I cook the same dish multiple times, I can do it without consulting the recipe or measuring the quantity. I turn on the stereo, podcast or radio to make up for lost kitchen time. Tonight, I grilled fish marinated in garlic, ginger, honey, lemon and lime juice and sweet soy sauce on a large ceramic plate. Served with roasted potatoes and tomato/cucumber/red onion/avocado salad. My teenage son added ketchup to the mashed potatoes, but once the fish came up, I wrapped them in a ceramic dish. tasty.

I have been drinking...mainly tea. Leaf tea, in a Robur pot with a built-in, removable tea strainer. Heat the pot, bring the pot to a boil, drain the pot, add tea leaves and boiling water. brewing. Put milk in the cup first. Pour and enjoy. One of the simplest pleasures in life.

I've been listening...many podcasts: record breaking, is it rolling bob? , The word in your ear, WTF with Mark Malone. Mass broadcast: ABC, Triple R, PBS. A few vinyl records: Phoebe Bridgers, The Grateful Dead, Lucinda Williams, Bob Dylan. Through my phone and various speakers, according to recent searches: Mary Gauthier, The Beatles, Neil Young, Kutcha Edwards, Kee'ahn, Martha Wainwright, Waxahatchee. Always listening, always planning what I want to listen to.

I have been playing...soccer this afternoon. Draw a circle on a beautiful ellipse. We like to call it a "wanderer" because of its great surface. The city is looming in the north, with occasional bay breeze coming from the west. We went around. Lead, yell, run, mark, handball, kick the ball. I mostly lost the ball with my right foot, but today I completed some left-foot passes, and tonight I will replay it in my mind when I hit the pillow with my head. If possible, odd-numbered midweek time slots are used for frisbee matches on most weekends. We started with a few sets of end-to-end throws, using a seemingly complex but exquisite scoring system based on mutual trust and recognized wisdom. Then we turned to disc golf, which is a series of spontaneously designed holes that take us through different parks. There are various goals and an obviously complicated scoring system.

I have been spending my spare time...watching, reading, cooking, drinking, listening, playing. Love my family and thank my lucky star.

Every day recently, I have been...cooperating with Jacinta Parsons to plan and plan our year-end Friday Revue broadcast live in the Brunswick Ballroom. On Friday, December 17th, starting at 12:30 pm, we will host a party with some very special guests, review our broadcasting year and spread some Christmas cheers. So, we will talk to you at that time and, as always, thank you for listening.
