The retailer's first fall seasonal collection, dropping later this month, will bring in vibrant hues to cafés near you.

Temperatures may be slowly cooling, but excitement is building among diehard Starbucks fans after eagle-eyed social media users have shared the first signs of fall-themed merchandise at cafés across the country. Yes, that's right — even before the long-rumored return of the beloved Pumpkin Spice Latté, Starbucks fans are getting treated to a slow release of new Fall 2022 tumbler cups and mugs.

Just as they did in 2021, it seems like Starbucks is planning on releasing their highly-anticipated seasonal merchandise collection in waves over the first few weeks of September — with a potential Halloween-inspired design or two making an appearance in the middle of the month, on September 13.

Over on TikTok and Instagram, users have seemingly leaked Starbucks materials that suggest the first pieces of Fall 2022 merchandise drops on the same day as the rumored PSL release — Tuesday, August 30, just a few days before the long-awaited Labor Day holiday weekend. Starbucks hasn't confirmed this release date or any details of a forthcoming collection as of yet... but the accounts we're embedding below have been historically accurate!

Some pieces have already been released to retail locations within Target superstores and other third-party shopping centers.

Namely, Starbucks fans are already going wild for this fiery coral Venti jelly studded tumbler, which retails for $19.95 and can hold up to 24oz of perfectly chilled coffee or tea. The pearlescent shine of the cups' Starbucks Siren comes through as a stunning pumpkin-esque pop of color, making it a great choice for when leaves start to fall.

There's also another early contender that is equally vibrant but much cooler in nature; a welcome option for the chilly, rainy days of October. This Periwinkle Kaleidoscope dome tumbler takes inspiration from wildly popular collections from seasons past — there's a chromatic shine applied to its striking outer coat, and the deep purple lid shines brilliantly under bright light.

According to leaked documents shared online, there are more than 18 different pieces embedded in Starbucks' initial Fall 2022 collection, all of which may drop as early as August 30. Prices range from $14.95 for a new ceramic coffee mug (a brilliant purple ombré design!) to $28.95 for two new stainless steel tumblers that are wonderfully moody for chilly days ahead; as always, you can expect a range of prices for Starbucks' newest tumblers, ranging from $18.95 to $24.95 for 24oz sizes. We'll update this post with more photos and information as it becomes available this season.

If you're wondering about Starbucks' special Halloween collection, which has included special glow-in-the-dark items in years past, keep your eyes peeled starting Tuesday, September 13.

Unofficial documents shared online suggest that Starbucks fans can expect not one but five different glow-in-the-dark items, including hot mugs, insulated stainless steel tumblers and lidded double-wall tumblers. If rumors are true, you'll find upwards of 13 new Halloween-themed pieces in the weeks to come.

Of course, being the first to get your hands on these merchandise pieces is important, as diehard fans will tell you that Starbucks famously limits how much merchandise they release on a seasonal basis. Some of the items in this forthcoming Fall 2022 collection are labeled as Target exclusives, meaning you'll need to head to the embedded cafés in these retail locations to have the best shot at finding your next collectible cup.

Standalone Starbucks cafés often indeed receive merchandise at later dates than other retail locations, but it doesn't hurt to ask your favorite barista nicely when they may receive store shipments (every location is scheduled differently). When all else fails, plan to get up early on release day and head to your nearest Target for your best shot at getting a fall or Halloween exclusive. Happy hunting!
