SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA — Have dining plans in place for your New Year's festivities? The calendar soon will flip from 2021 to 2022.

For those who opt to dine out or for others, who choose to celebrate on the home front, restaurants throughout the San Francisco Bay region are prepping dinners, brunches and takeout feasts to keep the holidays easy and festive.

ABACA: The new Filipino-California restaurant from Chef Francis Ang plans New Year's Eve experience with three seatings, tasting menus & champagne toast: 5 p.m. seating with 10 dishes ($95 per person); 7 p.m. with 12 dishes ($125 per person); and 9 p.m. with 14 dishes ($150). Menu highlights: shrimp toast; black garlic steam buns with pork tocino; oysters ; clam tinola; paella; beef with black truffles; vegetable ginataan; and "Baked Alaska." ANGELICA'S: A Mariachi Dinner is planned NYE in main dining room with mariachi band, complimentary champagne toast & party favors, craft cocktails & full dinner menu. APPLEBEE'S: Festive $5 cocktails, Sleigh Bell Sips, are on menu through Jan. 2. "Tipsy Reindeer" blends vodka, cranberry juice, cherry & lemonade. BLACK ANGUS STEAKHOUSE: Filet mignon or prime rib, both with lobster tail & sides, are offered for dine-in or takeout on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31. CATTLEMENS STEAKHOUSE: Family-style meals offered for takeout, although options vary by location.
