The Downtown Vancouver Association provides gift-giving guides for shoppers to help you find the perfect gift

Now that the holidays in Clark County are over, you may have started looking for the perfect gift for your friends and family.

In order to help local shoppers complete this work, the Vancouver Downtown Association has compiled a 2021 holiday gifting guide. Vancouver Downton Abbey has a series of boutiques in the West End, and shoppers are sure to find special items for everyone on their gift list.

Shoppers can find the latest women's, men's and children's fashion under the guidance of expert stylists. Local shops also sell locally made jewelry, handmade perfumes, high-end second-hand goods and antiques. The shops in the city centre also offer household and personal care products, household items, decorations, art and other gifts.

Many businesses in downtown Vancouver have participated in the gift guide compiled by the VDA, including Aurora Gallery, Believe Boutique, Center Stage Clothiers, Dandelion Teahouse & Apothecary, Divine Consign, Doppelganger, Firehouse Glass, Kindred Homestead Supply, Love Potion Magickal Perfumerie, Lyon and Pearl, mostly vintage, not too shabby, Phoenix Rise Gift Shop, Difference Boutique, French Door, URI Boutique and Wild Fern Boutique.

The following are the services that must be provided by several shops included in this year’s gift guide:

Located at 1104 Main St., Suite 100, Love Potion Magickal Perfumerie offers many interesting and unusual gifts-the owner Mara Fox says you can’t find things elsewhere, because many are handmade and unique.

Fox said that the store is divided into several sections-Cauldron Bubble (bath and body products, handmade soaps, scrubs, etc.), Love Potion Perfumes (limited edition handmade perfumes crafted with the magical meaning of ingredients), Aslan's Wardrobe ( Cloak, from children to adult size), divination station (tarot and oracle cards, runes, pendulums, etc.), Merlin's treasure house (magic and mythological books, periodicals), Arthur's armory (swords, daggers) , Canes, Viking’s horns, etc.), Chinese pottery (ceramic teapots, mugs, coasters), Medusa’s Garden, Neverland Toys, Salem End’s Wand Store, Coexistence, Star Gem, Ai Aunt Mu’s pharmacist and Central Island (jewelry).

Fox said that they currently have several decorative trees with hand-made glass decorations from Egypt and Ecuador, as well as other hand-made glass decorations they made.

"It is a great store for recipients who are difficult to purchase because there are so many exotic items," she said.

This store is hosting a special event for holiday shoppers this month-a 10% discount for spending $50, or a 20% discount for spending $100. "Remember to say the magic spell, reduceio!"

Not Too Shabby Boutique is located at 1515 Broadway Street, offering a variety of exquisite gifts, decorations, and women’s clothing and accessories. This store also specializes in providing customized gift baskets for customers. The store also offers free gift packaging with iconic polka dot patterns.

Owner Reshell Douglas said that some of their favorite products this holiday season include household items, comfort and self-care gifts, locally grown olive oil and seasoning salt, and customized gifts.

"Just tell us the occasion and their preferences, and we will make the perfect gift according to your budget," Douglas said.

The Difference boutique is located at 110 E. Evergreen Blvd., offering carefully selected women's clothing in sizes 0-22, as well as accessories and shoes. For this year's holiday season, buyer and personal stylist Daron Deonier-Clemons said that they have a series of gift certificates, jewelry, scarves, handbags and ultimate gifts-get personal styling services from the store.

"Our boutique is available for anyone to shop during our business hours, MF 12-6, and Saturday 10-4," Deonier-Clemons said. "Or, in order to get a more personalized experience after a one-time payment, customers can shop with a stylist to get a highly personalized and enhanced experience. We focus on bringing artistic and accessible experiences to the Northwest lifestyle Quality product."

During this holiday period, The Difference offers some promotional activities. Before December 15th, customers will get a free $20 gift certificate for every $100 gift certificate purchased. There will also be a 50% discount from December 13th to 18th.

The Aurora Gallery is located at 1004 Main Street. The gallery has a variety of holiday-themed tableware created by local molten glass artist Terri Shinners. She will host a holiday pop-up event from noon to 4 pm on Saturday, December 11, when she will receive more molten glass shards at a complimentary price.

In addition, the gallery’s Marti Barta stated that they will hold a group exhibition in December, and all local artists who are members of the gallery have submitted several works at reasonable prices. Some of these include local photography, small glass vases, pottery of various sizes and styles, jewelry, original abstract paintings, original framed and unframed watercolor paintings, and a series of small tiles painted in alcohol ink.

"We provide customized framework transactions for this season," Bata said. "Bring in one piece to enjoy a 10% discount on frame orders, or bring in three or more pieces to enjoy a 20% discount on frame orders."
