Over the years, it is very likely that you or your family will have Corning equipment at some point. And, it looks like they are making a comeback, so if you have anything in your house, it may be time to dust them off, as they may be worth thousands of dollars.

Glass expert Dean Six told 7News that a CorningWare was recently sold on eBay for US$7,000 (A$9,000). He said: "A CorningWare model is not widely produced. It was recently sold on eBay for $7,000 (A$9,000)." "This is a product from the 1970s that failed. Collections are usually what you remember, this is Why is this important now, because baby boomers are buying back what they grew up."

It all seemed too good to be true, so we decided to do some research to see if Dean was right, it seemed he was right. A quick search on eBay revealed that a 5-liter casserole sold for $5,000!

The price of the old-fashioned bakeware is also $5,000, and someone sells the old-fashioned CorningWare 5-liter L'Echalote La Marjolaine casserole for $10,500.

So, if you want to make a little money, why not try the water and sell one? Or, if you are a big fan of these nostalgic cookware dishes, before they become more expensive, now may be a good time to catch the trend!

Corning Glass Works was first introduced in 1958, and the series of cookware based on glass-ceramics was very popular in the 1960s and 70s. Its versatility is its strength, because it can be taken out of the refrigerator or freezer, used directly under the stove, oven, microwave or barbecue machine, and then placed directly on the table.

As early as when this popular cookware was first launched, there were 70 different colors to choose from, including white, white with the famous corn meal logo, and white with avocado print. Later other motifs were introduced, including those marked with cool pansies, country roses, delicate plants, dandies, and herbs.

As a bonus, the handle can be attached and detached to transform the dishes from cooking utensils to storage utensils. If users like the main part very much, they can purchase matching coffee machines and serving dishes, including platter.

Sadly, in 2000, the original CorningWare set ceased production and was then relaunched the following year as a series of bakeware based on stoneware.

However, about seven years later, the beloved stove product line regained popularity when Corelle Brands relaunched. To this day, popular cooking products are still made in France, and it is one of the only factories in the world that produces Pyroceram-based cookware.

In 2017, CorningWare (the company) launched a set of cornmeal patterns similar to the original to celebrate its 60th anniversary.
