IF you’re a proud owner of an air fryer, you’ll already be aware that it can cook everything from roast dinners to chocolate brownies.

But did you know that there is a right way to deep clean your kitchen gadget that leaves it sparkling and ready for its next use?

TikTok user Yanis Arvanitaris, whose profile is @arvanitaris, shared his easy method in a recent post.

He explained that when you’re finished cooking in the air fryer and need to get it clean again, all you need is water and washing up liquid.

Yanis said all you need to do is pour the water and a small amount of liquid soap into the air fryer and then set it to 400 degrees fahrenheit for six minutes.

Once the time is up, you’ll be left with the grime and food remains will have lifted from the cooking plates so that you just have to wipe around with a sponge and empty.

However, that wasn’t the only air fryer advice Yanis had up his sleeves.

He also revealed there are six everyday household items that can safely go inside your device that you might not think – from tin foil to glass dishes.

What’s more, each of them can improve the dishes you’re making and expand what recipes you can serve up for guests.

The first thing Yanis said was that “you can use ceramic baking moulds”, which are perfect for making cakes, muffins and other desserts.

Other items that can go safely inside the kitchen device are glass dishes, silicone moulds, and aluminium foil baskets.

While parchment paper is also something you can use when cooking with the air fryer so that your foods don’t stick.

Finally, tin foil is another great way of getting the most out of your air fryer, as Yanis showed how he cooked an egg dish using some.

Yanis’ followers were quick to comment and thank him for the advice, while the video has since racked up over 65,000 hits.
