Want to be swept away in an epic fantasy series? It's worth seeing

Since the end of HBO's "Game of Thrones", I have been waiting to see something like this-a magnificent epic fantasy series that appeals to you so thoroughly, you are checking the release time of the next episode, several weeks Finish.

So when I saw The Wheel of Time on the new version of Amazon Prime Video's roster, I watched it again. Will it happen eventually?

The 14-book series by American author Robert Jordan is rich in content, full of action, adventure, romance, and all the metaphors you would expect from epic fantasy novels. When he died in 2007, American writer Brandon Sanderson was appointed to complete the series and authored 12 to 14 books.

When I watched the Prime Video adaptations of these books, I recalled what Sanderson told me when interviewing him at the 2016 Emirates Airline Literature Festival: “Here, I have been reading these books since I was 15 years old. I know there are countless Millions of fans, I think-if I mess this up, if I am the one who destroys the wheel of time, then this is my life and I will be called that person."

This is what Prime Video has already begun to do-it is not easy to turn such a beloved book series into a TV show and deal with it fairly. However, if there is any progress in the first season, then it is on the right track.

The show tells the story of Moiraine, played by Rosamund Pike, a member of the powerful all-female organization Aes Sedai, who can channel an elemental force called a single force. Moiraine was looking for the "dragon" before serving the dark race, because the dragon was a person who predicted to save or destroy the world. She arrived in a village and narrowed her search to four people-but she had to run away with them before she could find out the dragon further, because the dark forces also found them.

If this premise is reminiscent of the beginning of JRR Tolkien’s fantasy trilogy "Lord of the Rings" (LOTR)-Gandalf the Grey arrived in a village called Shire, and Frodo the Hobbit was chosen as the end of the world mission, two People have left the Shire in a hurry-this is because it is likely to be! I think some of the best fantasies start when ordinary people are pushed into extraordinary situations and learn on the go.

The wheel of time can do this and even more. It has everything you might like in fantasy novels and shows: bards who seem to know more than they are willing to share, magic with hidden agendas, powerful women, ugly monsters, cursed objects, and cute Role.

Since the background of the show is the Czech Republic, it also has the magnificent and expansive scenery that you often see in other fantasy series or movies (especially "Game of Thrones").

The show even has trolls, they look very much like the orcs in the Tolkien universe, if they might be more annoying.

Prime Video set a huge budget for the show-according to reports, the first season cost 80 million U.S. dollars (293 million dirhams). Therefore, look forward to impressive special effects and realistic cities made using computer-generated images (CGI).

Five episodes have been aired at the time of writing, and "Wheel of Time" has taken a place in the epic fantasy TV show. The show admirably complements the books (Sanderson is the consulting producer of the show) and benefits from the excellent performance of the main characters. With the exploration and unraveling of the entire universe, the first season has just touched the surface of Jordan's fictional universe. What will happen next?
