The table view is as important as the Christmas tree this year

Nearly two years after the pandemic, for many of us, meeting friends and family is more meaningful than ever. Holiday parties no longer feel pressured or necessary, but are truly joyous celebrations. This means that the risk of holiday decorations is higher than ever. Beautiful Christmas trees, brightly lit candle holders or charming lawn displays are no longer enough. A table view suitable for a feast is a must-have for the 2021 holiday.

Although creating a desktop sounds like a challenge, or another line in your to-do list, it is easier than it seems. Here are the best tips, tricks and ideas for designing beautiful desktops this holiday and throughout the year.

Too busy shopping? Looking for a shortcut? The desktop in the box is the easiest way to solve this problem.

Social Studies has a large number of well-designed tablescapes and decoration kits that can instantly update any table for the current season. CEO and co-founder Jessica Latham told me: "We created Occasion Boxes to help reduce stress during the holidays by bundling all the holiday table decorations you might need. We will definitely see The return of elegance and understated decorations, so we developed this year’s holiday collection with this in mind. The Grateful Occasion box is perfect for autumn holidays, combining modern items such as velvet pumpkins and traditional items such as pine cones."

Not sure which desktop to choose? The Madewell x Social Studies four-person dinner kit has a versatile appearance and is suitable for almost any holiday or occasion. It has everything needed for a complete desktop, including dinner plates, salad plates, napkins, cutlery, candles, bottles, and even a suitcase for easy storage.

Start designing the tabletop by choosing dishes. White plates are popular because they can bring out the color of food and can be used with almost any decoration scheme. But they may also seem unremarkable.

So, choose something that is versatile but noble, such as the Gabrielle bone china tableware with golden details designed by Stone Lain. These dishes are suitable for formal holiday environments or dinners, as well as for daily meals. But unlike most Chinese, this set of tableware can be washed in a dishwasher and is affordable.

Gabrielle tableware also matches well with Joanna Buchanan's napkin ring. These pieces are shiny and charming, and are essentially jewels on the dining table. From bows to bugs, fireflies, snowflakes, etc., suits can be purchased for different occasions and exchanged for a variety of appearances.

Linen napkins are not negotiable for proper table view. Joanna Buchanan's linen napkins perfectly match the napkin ring and Stone Lain tableware. Although white is impossible to go wrong, if you are worried about washing, darker tones are easier to clean.

This combination can easily match a variety of placemats, runners and tablecloths. Although golden runners or tablecloths are suitable for almost any occasion, you can also pair them with holiday-themed textiles, such as a green plaid placemat from Chefanie.

Tablescapes are a great way to express creativity or do something different. Pink can be a festive choice throughout the year. Start with fable's blush pink tableware. These ceramic tableware are hand-finished in Portugal and have a unique pearl finish, which can bring a dreamy, airy and delicate atmosphere to any tabletop.

With retro style aesthetics, Fable's Japanese craft glassware also perfectly matches the dishes. These glasses are thin (but very durable) and light, making them perfect for cocktails with a piece of fruit or dried grapefruit decorations.

Then add Matouk Schumacher's iconic green leopard print placemats and coordinating napkins. This painting is equally delicate and interesting.

Elizabeth Sutton Collection Napkin Ring

To maximize your whimsy, match it with artist Elizabeth Sutton's iconic butterfly napkin ring, which is available in nickel and gold finishes.

Although not entirely necessary, regardless of the table top, golden tableware is always more interesting than everyday stainless steel. Please note that many manufacturers recommend hand washing to maintain the finish, but Rigby Satin Gold Flatware can maintain its finish for many years even in the dishwasher.

Joanna Buchanan suggested buying her own shelves to decorate the dining table. This is a particularly wise way to save money and avoid shipping delays. It's what it'should' be. "

Buchanan said it's best to pick an iconic piece and use it as a basis. "Interestingly, the table is not a permanent installation, so you can really have some fun from it. Use your grandfather's crystal decanter, which is a vintage porcelain that is very suitable for colors and patterns, and you can draw inspiration from it. Ingenious green plants are placed around a pile of old books. Think of the table as a window in a shop-a glimpse of inspiring things."

But if you want something new, candlesticks are an eternal choice. Tiffany and Co classic candle holders complement the formal dining table, while Sistain’s maple candle holders are causal and bring natural elements to your dining table.

A simple vase will do. The December bouquet box is perfect for this purpose.

Created by Courtney Sixx and Mark's Garden, this DIY deconstructed flower arrangement kit comes with a starter box with a short plexiglass vase so everyone can easily see each other from across the table.

Chrissy Horton of Horton Lane believes in bringing nature to the table, especially during the holidays. "The best way to elevate any dining table this holiday season is to take advantage of nature. So far, my favorite tabletop is my Christmas table, and I use pine branches as the centerpiece."

However, Horton insists that beautiful desktops are not necessarily expensive. "When I hold a large party, I use white disposable plates and golden disposable tableware. The utensils you use don’t have to be expensive. It all depends on how you design them! By adding chargers or decorations to the plates To enhance each table setting. On my Christmas table, I use the leftover pine tree to put them on the napkins on each plate. This is a small and affordable way to make every setting Raise it to the next level!"

Chef Stephanie Nass likes to add snacks to the table. "In addition to the flowers and candles in the center, I also like to sprinkle beautiful fruits, nuts, biscuits and candies so that guests can chew between courses."

Don't forget personal contact. After all, 2021 will be a memorable holiday. “On each guest’s seat, put something with his or her name on it. This token can make the guest feel considered and become a souvenir of the night after the end,” she said.
