For example, my 4.5-year-old child is enthusiastic about his opinions. He is very clear about what he wants and what he doesn't want (oh have the faith of stubborn preschoolers!). And the last thing he wants now is anything that looks too naive. "That's for babies," he would say if I gave him anything with primary colors or that looked too miniature.
